Searching an older backup can be done from the Advanced Restore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To restore from an older backup:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Open <a title=\"Advanced Restore\" href=\"http:\/\/gtlwiki.genie9.com\/index.php\/advanced-restore\/\" target=\"_blank\">Advanced Restore<\/a> from the Dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Restore from an older backup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Browse for the drive\/destination that has the older backup, or browse for the <strong>_Genie Timeline<\/strong> folder.<\/li>\n<li>In the search bar, type in the search term and click on the <strong>search icon<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every time a user chooses a new destination to backup to, the old backup database is closed and the active one is the default view in Advanced Restore and Timeline Explorer.
